So I didn't really feel like cropping although I did feel like playing around with colors and brushes... so I downloaded bases from Don't Be So Base on LJ and began to play.

Tomorrow I'll post the icons I'm making with screencaps and doing the cropping etc... right now I've only got ten HP icons and I'd like to have a few more before posting. :-D (I'll also be posting Labyrinth and Star Trek icons tommorow.)
