Matthew Rizzard ([info]march_hare_) wrote in [info]beyond_evo,
Generally speaking, Matt is starting to get a tendency to assume that everyone is on the opposite end of the predator/prey scale from him. It’s not an assumption he’s made but it also wouldn’t be a surprise to find it out. He kind of knows his place in the world as a whole and has come to firm terms with it.

When the flow of water started moving his creation Matt’s eyes went wide and he literally flailed, almost falling backwards on the dock in his panic. Oh my God, is this some sort of malfunction or something he overlooked? That couldn’t be it, the mechanics were sound, he knew that for a fact, and the frame was just about perfect. Well, at least as perfect as three relative amateurs could do making it which was still pretty good. The flailing only increased when he processed what Rin said. “What? No! You can’t do that! I have to turn this in! I have a grade depending on it!” As well as other things. With his grades so far it wasn’t as if Matt would be failing if he didn’t turn the project in, but he had kind of let a few people in on what he’d been planning. Not so much bragging as delving into geeky appreciation with his classmates. Still stuck on the possibility of having his shark destroyed, it took Matt a few seconds to process her question. “Does it- huh? No, it just bites and thrashes. Getting it to do that was complicated enough.” Omg what does she want? For it to actually eat the fish? Give him a break here.
