Matt could definitely understand the wanting to get away a bit. It was probably an impulse all the metamorphs shared to some degree. As used to and as happy as he was to his day to routine of classes and rehearsals and studying and the like, there were times that he just wanted to get out and about and yes, away from it all. No matter how quiet the mansion might be, outside it was always more peaceful- as long as the predators weren’t out and about too. Then it was not so fun.
He’d been so excited at the success of his little invention and so caught up in his own inner monologue of theme song that he didn’t even notice Rin’s arrival. His inner geek was in full force and he was just a little bit too caught up in imagining mini Bruce wreaking havoc on tiny would be beach goers that were not at all in the water. Maybe he should do that next time. Most pet shops had the little buoyant one that went in fish tanks. That would make for an awesome presentation. After all, what was a Jaws without victims? Swim, you tiny little people, swim! Mwahahahahaaahh!! Oh yes, back to reality.
“There’s wha-?” Swiveling his head around towards the voice he heard, Matt did a little jump back catching sight of the face in the water. Oh, that was- Rin, right? Yeah, it was Rin. . A wide grin spread across his face and he nodded excitedly and pointed towards the contraption, clearly as excited as a kid who had just figured out Christmas. “Oh yeah! That’s Mini Bruce!” Hmm, maybe he should rethink the name. ‘Mini Bruce’ didn’t seem quite impactful enough. Filing that away from later, then. “It’s great, right?” OMG RIN LOOK WHAT HE BUILT ISN’T IT THE COOLEST?!
