~and they didn't even put up a fight. [ prince! ]
THE DAY WAS SWIFT. Adjusting herself into the taxi cab, Eudora Ross, the scintillating, telepathic mutant looked at her current companion while letting an innocent, but minor deal of her bosom reveal themselves as she leaned forward to take her seat within a centimeter margin. The engine erupting from the turn of the driver's key formed squinted eyes as she placed her seatbelt around her physique, looking at Prince, Eudora smiled and stealthily scooted herself closer, her lithe arm against his much more muscular one. "I’m Eudora Aren-Catherine Ross, pleasure to meet you sir. You will be expected to act as I give orders, and if you fail to do so, you will have to personally deal with me." She announced, the grin upon her face as she continued to stare. Fun talk, dear. My imagination leads me to believe you'll have to hear this frequently, Frack darling. It never hurts to have practice. She spoke into his head. He certainly had been reasonably attractive. He would be fun, for the while.

Eudora had made plans prior to leaving the club. She had warned Prince Baines of the potential boredom she might have if she was to stand idle in the club for long. Yes, she had a few drinks but nothing to have her control out of hand. She danced with a few, but kept it simple and very short-lived. She didn't want Prince believing she was enjoying her stay at the club. She did, in fact, have reservations at an art gallery, and missing this would mean lost money. Eudora cared less about that, though, seeing as it all came from the Ross' banking accounts, however, a chance to flaunt her dress was a chance she would never miss. Additionally, she was recently honored as Xavier's valedictorian. Her ego hadn't yet lowered. During the night Prince would have been pestered by telepathic complaints and feelings of Eudora's frustration. Whatever it was that led Prince out of the party worked, and with only a swift mental call to a bypassing taxi driver, the two were on their way to her reservations.

"I deeply apologize for possibly ruining your night, love. I can only imagine how much this meant to you," she kept her gray eyes staring out the window, trying to take a glimpse of New York's fashion within the store's windows. As always, Eudora's interest ceased as she returned her gaze towards Prince accompanying it with a rather sincere smile. "I promise you won't be resting your head with regret when this night is over." Whatever that may mean. Hm?

Sharply, her head jolted at the driver in frustration. She wasn't even sure if Prince heard her, believing her words were being drowned out by the driver's radio selection of hard rock. "After a whole night of high volumes being played in my ear, must we be unfortunate to have this to listen to!? I say driver, spare us this awful tune." As if the driver ever listened to his passengers. However, Eudora dealt with people like him on a daily basis and learned ways to get whatever she desired.

TURN THIS WRETCHED CHANNEL THIS INSTANT YOU PATHETIC, LONESOME DOUCHE!

Almost zombie-like, the man complied without a bit of reluctancy. Mind influencing was a task Eudora had accomplished years ago while keeping herself entertained by toying with her parents. Although a tedious and mind-taxing task, it was a feat that gave Eudora her infamous reputation. Though her current doings did go with its errors as she didn't find time to focus on finesse. She wanted the station changed and didn't care that Prince may have heard her mental command. Ultimately, all was said and done and the two were now listening to traditional orchestra melodies. "I'm sure you won't be telling Professor Xavier of that little coup I just pulled. Do know it was done for the greater good, my dear." This ride will be interesting, hm?

Prince had been warned away from doing this. King told him that he was crazy, Maddie had flipped out, and he was fairly certain only Charlie might sympathize with his feeling bad saying no. He still had no clue why Eudora had asked in the first place, but Prince did tend to try and see the better sides of females, so he'd been somewhat hoping that she was just...misunderstood, maybe. Someone who didn't know how to interact with other people in a normal manner, that wouldn't leave them thinking she was horribly rude. Maybe she was finally trying to reach out and make actual friends at the school? He supposed he could give someone a chance, if those were the circumstances.

Except she seemed to be doing everything possible to prove him wrong on that account, and to prove everyone else right. Good lord.

Unlike Eudora, Prince had actually been enjoying himself at the graduation party. He'd just finished high school, had been a salutatorian, and was out having a non-danger filled night on the town with his friends and fellow graduates. He and his brother were on good terms, his family was around and going to see them again tomorrow, and he had worries over things like the new teams and college off his shoulders. Hanging out with drinks and music and dancing and talking for an evening sounded great, quite frankly, and he'd told Eudora that he was planning on staying there for awhile. So to begin receiving constant mental nagging from her had been bothersome, to say the least. He'd tried to be mentally polite and just ignore it for awhile, until finally it just seemed easier to go with it. So he'd said goodbye to King and Maddie and the rest, and headed out to catch the cab with Eudora.

When she smiled at him he smiled back, but said smile froze in place when she spoke, and then slowly turned into a look of incredulity. ...Seriously? Had she just told him that he was going to act on her orders? He honestly didn't even know what to say to that, and so he just scooted over a bit more to give her more room, slipping his phone out of his pocket to check the time quickly. He might need to text King in a minute. Well if nothing else, the night didn't seem like it was going to be a dull one. God only knew if they'd both survive it though. He glanced up briefly when Eudora spoke out about the music, but then was completely taken aback by hearing her mental shouting and commanding of the driver. Had she really just done that? Really?? And now she was asking him to not tell on her? Yeah, the ride would definitely be interesting, Eudora.

He'd been willing to let whatever the hell that introduction of hers to him had been slide, but this was just...no. Prince very firmly landed on Xavier's side of the equation when it came to using one's powers on others, and Eudora wanting the station changed hardly constituted a burning and immediate need. Not only that, but the way she talked to the guy, and to Prince himself. No. Sorry. He was not going to be spending his graduation night suffering through this kind of BS. His eyebrows were still up as he turned to look at her, some of the alcohol from earlier making him speak his mind much more easily. "No, it wasn't." 'Greater good' his ass. "You pull that shit again, and I am gone. You don't get to order me around, and you definitely don't get to work your powers on other people while I'm here. Are we clear? I don't care who you think you are." Eudora Ross Eudora Ross, he'd heard it from her on the journals a billion times. Prince, though, had never heard of her family, and was hardly impressed by money. He shook his head. "You know what, nevermind. This was clearly a mistake." His fingers moved over the keypad of his phone, shooting a message off to his brother. "I don't know why you wanted to hang out with me tonight, but I don't hang with people like you." He didn't mean the class status either, which was broadcast loud and clear from his own thoughts. She was rude, spoiled, and acting like a righteous brat at the moment. Prince had zero interest in hanging out with that, thanks. He leaned forward some in his own seat. "Just pull over here, man." He'd get out and walk back.

This was new. Was she actually being yelled at? Was she actually being told her deeds were actually bad? Well, yeah, it was all of what she had heard before. But ... Prince Baines had found that authority to put Miss Ross in her place. He had found it easy to step over his bounds and tell her what she had known all along. She was a bitch, evil, and slightly psychotic. All said are true, but being told that was another thing. It was like her antics meant nothing anymore. Her smile had crept off her face as one single eyebrow began to jump in confusion. If the authority in his voice didn't send her a clear message that her antics weren't to be done, then the tension that began to grow would do it. She was definitely spoiled, mean and somewhat of a brat, however it was her pizzazz that tempted her to originally set out ground rules. So nice work on first impressions, Eudora Ross.

No! Don't leave! Eudora had forgotten all of her self-control in the art of her own Telepathy. It was rather difficult to remember to shut one's powers completely off when you're being disciplined. "I mean," her head had then began to lower, feeling a bit embarrassed at her telepathic plea to him. She attempted finding the courage to even mouth her next words now. Her fingers made circular patterns within the space Prince had scooted from. She slightly coughed, regaining her confidence and the nerve to look him in the face once more. The bitchy demeanor had been put to bed for the time being. "No need to leave, Prince. I sincerely apologize for my foolish antics. Please," she had reached for his phone, attempting to set it back to his side where he could put it back in his pocket, "put the phone down."

It was unknown whether she meant what she said, but she did know she wasn't allowing him to depart. It would prove Maddie right about her. And while Maddie was actually right about Eudora having the capabilities of deluding herself, she didn't have the nerve to let Maddie win. There friendship had already suffered enough and it seemed as if there was no possible way to make amends, so why start off proving Maddie right? It wasn't Eudora's way of doing things. She always rose on top.

She had set back in her seat trying to reassure herself that Prince wouldn't open the taxi's door. The driver's zombie-like attitude diminished as he tightly gripped his wheel in shock. He wasn't moments away from the museum last time he remembered, but luckily he blamed it on the Mexican food he had for lunch. "The museum is right there, darling. Must we end the night so early?" Eudora held minor regret for actually backing down to him. She had her reasons, though. She was, in fact, his escort also. She had to respect the man's wishes, but her leniency wouldn't go without its payback, Prince.

Okay, to be fair, Prince hadn't called her a bitch, evil, or psychotic. She was definitely cruising along being a terrible example of a human being though, with no apparent thought to how that might not be a good thing. So no, her antics didn't mean anything, beyond showing off what a priss she was, which Prince very much did not like. He came from a fairly humble home, himself, a place where family and friends were emphasized, and the enjoyment of life was always a priority. Bossing people around, trying to show off your wealth, living for things like clothes, that was all ridiculous to him. And not only was it unimpressive, it was downright ugly in his eyes. She would definitely have to try a different tactic if she wanted to keep his attention, even as a friend.

He paused and glanced back over to her when she asked him not to go mentally. He didn't let her move his phone, but he did at least seem to stop texting for help or whatever it was he'd sent before. It would apparently take more than that one apology to get him actually wanting to be here, his mind still feeling highly wary of her and not particularly wanting to wait a few hours to see what other strangeness she might produce, but...he'd stay. For better or for worse, he was apparently a nice enough guy that he felt bad leaving her here, and so after a few moments of deliberation he sat back instead of trying to jump out. At least they were at the gallery already.

He got out of the car, paying the driver and tipping him extra because of the indignity he had to suffer (whether he remembered it or not). He was trying to think of what he could say to her to move the night on like it was somehow normal, and almost did ask her what was being shown there, but then he changed his mind. He didn't want to pretend this was normal, even if she'd apologized. He did wait until the cab had pulled away to speak though. "Why do you act like that, anyway?" Being so pushy and snotty to everyone. He knew she considered herself to be in a high social class, but as far as he could see, being outright rude to everyone was poor etiquette at its finest. No wonder she only had a couple of friends at the school. He couldn't figure it out, why anyone would want to spend so much effort being negative and cruel.

And also, to be fair, Eudora had heard plenty things about this particular Baines brother. Of course, it never struck her to speak on her information because it wouldn't benefit the Queen Bee at all. Instead, she kept her thoughts to herself. Even while shopping with Maddie the many times she did. She could have probed her minds to see if it was actually true of her false pregnancy, but it was more amusing to look at her as an attention whore who did all the wrong methods in getting it. Prince, to her knowledge, seemed like someone who could serve well. He definitely didn't put up with her bitchy attitude and many people did, or just simply ignored her. She liked that about him, but that didn't mean she liked him yelling at her like that. He has his nerves!

Eudora didn't try to acknowledge the fact that he complied with her. He'd probably catch another bitch fit. She feared the worst. Instead, she stayed staring out the window while the driver positioned his taxi in the parking space. When Prince made his exit Eudora stayed stationary in her seat. Where she came from the driver had to open the door for a lady. She cleared her throat several times before the driver got the picture. Moments later she was released from her seat, gripping the driver's hand as she stepped outside the car as if she prepared to walk a red carpet. She took two steps to begin walking on the other side of the car where Prince currently stood before she paused in her strut. "And here's a few more moneys, my good man." She flipped through her Louis Vuitton handbag, bringing out a crisp one-hundred dollar bill. "I'd suggest you find interest in a perm, love. There's a nice little saloon down the block there," she pointed, "Tell them you were referred by Eudora Ross. And spend the remaining of the money on a new outfit. Button-ups with pictures of a beach and the sun are so two summers ago."

Her banter had discontinued with a wave of her hair and a rather over-confident strut alongside Prince. "Will you do the ho--" Before Eudora could ask him for his hand and guidance to the gallery she was struck hard by his question. Prince was really becoming too comfortable on their first 'not-date'. Why does she act that way, you ask Prince? She's been betrayed by every person she ever knew and loved. Her kindergarten friend soonly became her arch rival. Her own parents committed her to a mental hospital. There were many possibilities to why she treated her peers the way she did. The fact of the matter was that she must do so in order to keep any dangers away. But what might be her answer, hm? "No clue. Rare breeding, I suppose." Of course that was the truth.
