What Vea would give to have a mutation that was harmless at best. Her powers were a constant reminder of horrid things in the past. It wasn't like its first appearance had produced My Little Ponies or the Looney Tunes. Vea could only be thankful that since her arrival here no one had been hurt by the things she'd produced accidentally. Its funny how the dynamics constantly changed around the school. What one person wanted was something another person had, and what that person had could be ugly. But thus is life. People usually aren't happy with the cards dealt them. And when they just could not cope or could not stand it a moment longer, they did something brash. Vea hated to lump the cured into that group, but what happened as a result to them getting the injections had possibly done more damage then when they just had powers. As many resources at Xavier's had, they had other options. In her opinion. But it wasn't like Vea was going to be rude and say so. Their decisions did not effect her...that is until they tore the mansion apart.
Vea waited until Luka was seated, then moved over to the fridge. "Thanks." She kept her eyes on him for a moment. He looked frazzled. Maybe it was just having woke up. Or perhaps, like her, he didn't want to be up in the first place. Vea had no idea what time it was but she didn't need a clock to tell her that they both should probably still be in bed. Vea ducked her head and rummaged for a minute before she came up with what she sought: milk, chocolate syrup, and a Hershey's bar.
"Ya look like ya need something," she gave him a soft smile. "Want some hot chocolate?" And perhaps a talk about what was on his mind? Talking usually helped Vea, even when she felt it wouldn't. And who knows? Maybe they would talk themselves into wanting to go to bed again.
