RP: I am not amused...
Date: 7 March 2006 Characters: Severus Snape Location: His quarters at Hogwarts Private/Public: Private Rating: PGish Warnings: a rather upset and cranky Snape Summary: It's Friday and Severus still hasn't managed to brew the promised potion for Millicent. He's getting rather annoyed at his body rebelling and paining him. He'll brew if it kills him.
Well this was highly annoying. Severus rolled over in bed and flinched when the sunlight from the window hit his face. Too bloody bright in here as far as he was concerned. He flung an arm to shade his eyes, shirking away from the bright light. He had no idea how late it was in the morning, but he knew he'd slept far later than he should have. The sudden thought struck him that he'd actually slept through classes.
He, Severus Snape, never was late for anything in his life.
Blinking, Severus realised that it was not sunlight streaming in, but rather the light from his lamp casting a glow around his bedroom. Window? There'd be no windows in the dungeons.
Severus pulled himself into a sitting position, putting his head in his hands. It felt like a herd of Hippogriffs decided to take up residence in his cranium. Not only that, they decided tap shoes would be a decent investment. Severus rubbed his temples, hoping the additional pressure would relieve a bit of the headache but nothing seemed to help. He slowly rose from his bed, moving like an old man far advanced in years. If this was the flu, Severus was not at all amused. He could count on one hand the number of times he'd been sick in his life and he had no intention on being sick now. He had far too much to do.
Hobbling from the room to his own private laboratory, Severus was breathing hard by the time he finally set himself on a stool. His intention had been to brew the potion for Millicent yesterday, but he'd felt like death warmed over. Now -- he was feeling like death in general. At least now the double vision seemed to be gone. If all went as planned, he could have the phial in the post by end of day.
Providing this headache could actually cease.
He'd suffer for another hour. Then, he'd actually take something.
