RP: Another murder Date: March 6, 2006 Characters: Lucius, NCP Location: Oxford Private/Public: Private with a public result Rating: R Warnings: Death Summary: Lucius helps spread some chaos
The man was walking quicker than normally, his footsteps echoing off the walls as he hurried down the streets. He turned to look around him. Once, twice, thrice. Every time the footsteps he thought he heard behind him stopped. Every time, there was nothing but shadows behind him.
He pulled his cloak tighter around him, keeping close to the wall of the house. It was not suitable to be walking in Muggle Oxford dressed in robes and cloak, but when times were as they were… He hurried his steps even more, casting another look over his shoulder.
Behind him, Lucius smirked as he slipped into the shadow. The man was far too easy to follow. He walked heavily, his steps easily heard, and he quickly left the wizarding section through the wall of the Turf Tavern to escape what he thought was haunting him.
As if such a thing would help him now.
Matching the man's step with his own, Lucius closed in, bit by bit, hiding in the shadows as the man turned. The man was sweating now, and quite close to running. Lucius closed in faster, waived his wand and tripped the man.
'What do you want with me?' His voice was pitiful, shivering, pathetic. Lucius didn't answer.
If he'd been a man such as Rabastan, this would be where he tortured and played with him. Made him scream. Turned it into a show. The man clearly expected it. He didn't know how lucky he was. Lucius had better things to do with his time than to worry about theatrics – he was more worried about result.
'Avada Kedavra.'
Spoken almost as a whisper. The green light. The terrified face frozen in place. Lucius nodded, moving the body to hang from a nearby lamppost.
He'd be found tomorrow, Aurors would be notified as there was nothing actually tying the man to the lamppost. With them would come the disease. It was a job efficiently done.
