RP: This Sucks
Date: 26 February 2006 Characters: Seamus Finnigan, Alicia Spinnet (NPC'd) Location: The Three Broomsticks Private/Public: Private Rating: PG Warnings: - Summary: Seamus and Alicia get to work on the pub so that it's ready for Saturday night.
Seamus met Ali outside the pub, glancing at the sign he'd made the day he'd found Rosie. It was rather hastily written, almost illegible, really, and he frowned as that day came to the forefront of his mind. He shook his head and muttered the charms to unlock the door, and he and Alicia stepped inside the pub. After Seamus closed the door behind them, he pulled the sign out of the window, and then flipped it over to the other side, writing out "Grand Re-Opening Saturday 1st March."
He stuck the sign back onto the window, and then he and Alicia stepped further into the pub, surveying the surroundings. It was rather musty after not being used in nearly a month, so Seamus pointed his wand at the windows, opening them just enough so that some fresh air flowed into the room.
"So where should we start first?" Alicia asked as she turned towards him.
"Well, we definitely need to go over inventory. I'm sure a lot of that food has gone bad. We also need to figure out how much new furniture would cost. I don't think there's really anywhere we can get new furniture in Hogsmeade, so one of us is going to have to go to a Muggle furniture store in Edinburgh or Glasgow. We also need to get Lipsy and Tipsy to listen to us long enough to clean up the place. Get rid of all the dust and stuff, otherwise we're going to have to do that, too. Oh, and we also have to put up a new coat of paint to hide the fire damage." He rolled his eyes, looking over at Alicia. She didn't seem too thrilled by all the work that laid before them either.
She sighed and then looked over at Seamus. "We should probably get everything that has to be ordered first, then. Which means the furniture needs to be done today, as well as the inventory," she told him, crossing her arms over her chest.
Seamus nodded. "Yes, if he wants everything by Saturday night, definitely. I guess let's go do the furniture first, and then we can come back and start making a list of everything we need. Some of the things we can get at Ernie's shop, but some of the other things are going to have to be ordered."
Alicia nodded her head in agreement, and they headed back outside, locking the door behind them. The walk to the apparation point was cold, and all Seamus could wonder about was just how much trouble he would get into if he were to kill his new boss. Not seriously, mind you, but hey, it was an idea.
