Lucius smiled. There was something Montague was not telling him, but he would not push at the moment.
'Good. A clever decision, one your family no doubt appreciates,' he said with a friendly smile. He pondered for a moment if he should linger, try to bait the young man more. At present though, this was enough. He'd got what he came here for most, and he'd sown yet another seed of doubt between young Damian and Theodore. Small steps, but it would take them to the point where Damian was more theirs than Theodore's. And when that day came Theo would know nothing.
Then again if his wife worked her magic on Theodore's young wife then perhaps Theo too would once more be trusted. If nothing else they'd be able to trust him when the war was won, he was not a man to fight those in power, of that he was fairly certain.
Lucius finished his drink, smiling at Montague. 'As nice as I find it to spend time with a young man such as yourself, I should leave you to your family.' He sighed slightly - hardly noticeable - very deliberately. It was not wrong to remind Damian that he did not have access to his son. It would help the young man open up, trust, fail to keep his walls up.
