RP: Of projects and women (Well... one woman, specifically)
Date: 13th February 2006 Characters: Kevin Entwhistle, mentions of Anthony Goldstein and Megan Jones Location: 1 Dippet Drive Private/Public: Private Rating: PG Warnings: None Summary: Kevin thinks while he works. You'd think he'd know better than to do that...
Kevin walked into his bedroom, a hand on his forehead, trying to ease the headache that was now throbbing. It didn't come from drinking... more from t he number of times he banged it on his desk while reading Muggles books about DNA. It was one of those days when the technical aspects of such things just confused the hell out of him. It irritated him... he was a Ravenclaw and supposed to already know all this. But it just showed him how much he had to learn about the subject.
He sat on his bed, putting his head in his hands. As was usual the past few days, his thoughts turned to Megan and Anthony. More specifically Megan. Out of all the things he'd done in his life, he'd never expected to go and fall in love with his best mate's girlfriend. It wasn't planned, or evident at first... he had lusted after her, no question. She was more beautiful than she gave herself credit for, and seeing her in those outfits didn't help matters. He understood what Anthony saw in her... and it was the same that he saw. And now here he was, in love with Megan, and he had let her see that without saying one word.
The scary thing was... he saw it in her eyes, too. He really didn't know what to think about that.
He wiped his face and sighed. He was going to see her again tomorrow, taking her to get a tattoo to surprise Anthony. He knew his friend would like it. He was also going to get some new ink while he was there. But his mind was clearing on seeing Megan... and parts of her body... again tomorrow.
He shook his head as he heard footsteps outside his door. Antonin and Morag were back from their honeymoon, and he hadn't even said hello yet. Feeling like an ungrateful guest, he threw some robes on and headed out for a chat. After all, it was always best to be nice and acknowledge those who were giving you free room and board.
