Millicent watched as the boy ran upstairs, not interested in fighting any more. 'You shouldn't tell him he's imposing on me,' she said flatly. 'He's not and he shouldn't be made to feel as if he is,' she said.
She didn't say anything more, but pointedly ignored him and turned her attention to Ella's babble about dragons and castles and saving little boys and girls from bad pirates who locked them in towers so they had to grow long hair. She had no idea what she was on about but no doubt it was from one or several of the fairy tales that Justin kept reading to her at night.
