RP: Reports are a great excuse Date: February 11, 2006 Characters: Cass, Percy Location: Aurors office Private/Public: Private Rating: G Warnings: None Summary: Cass talks to Percy – about cases, the ball and Susan
He was feeling more tired than usual, even if he'd only worked since yesterday. He was involved in not one, but two separate murder cases, one with multiple casualties, and working on arranging the Auror benefit, adding to that almost his usual case load (with two Aurors suspended, there was no chance to be relieved)…he couldn't wait for this week to be over.
Looking through the latest report, the physical evidence from the Lestrange case, he saw that their suspicions were right. The samples matched those they had of Turpin – well Lestrange now if the rumours were correct. There was also something odd with the reports coming in about Rosmerta's blood. The healers couldn't put their finger on what it was – but apparently something was wrong with it, as well as with the cut. He'd have to show that report to Susan when he got home.
She knew more about it than anyone, and no way in hell was he starting at scratch when she was read into the case.
Pushing it out of his mind at the moment, he leaned back in his chair. He needed a break, and so he got up and headed to Percy's office. He might not agree with Percy's decision about Susan, but it was still Percy, and he liked talking to him. Not to mention that he trusted his judgment and needed his input.
True to his habit he didn't wait for an answer before stepping in. He smiled. For some odd reason he couldn't quite understand, he felt a bit less tired the moment he saw Percy.
'Hey,' he said, flopping down in the chair in front of Percy's desk.
