Miles had been slowly fuming. He figured he'd managed to talk the pretty blonde around to seeing things his way, and that he'd soon be due to go home. Of course, there was still that stupid foreign git he'd stunned, but even Bones had said that he had been provoked.
He was tired and in no mood to be any more sociable than he was. They made shit coffee, and he had a crick in his neck from their stupid excuse of a pillow in his cell. Not to mention the fact that Millicent would probably howl him out for getting put in there in the first place.
He saw Cass, and wondered why he was around, at least until he remembered he was an auror. Seeing him talk to Bones was another thing. Seeing him put his arm around her and kiss the blonde's forehead was enough to make him want to puke. Why the fuck was he there if this bird was obviously some shag buddy of Cass's?
He didn't know whether or not to be annoyed by it, but when he heard Cass talking about her making him dinner, he rolled his eyes and gagged. "You ever made yourself a meal, Vaisey?" he said a little tartly.
At the questions, he smirked. "I'd be willing to be you probably want to stun the git as well. Not that I'm bribing an auror, you understand, just hypothetically speaking."
He sighed, wishing Vaisey had been there the night before. "You look like rubbish, Cass," he added as he grabbed his overrobe from the back of the chair and looked to Bones. "Go and find who really did kill Rosie," he said honestly and sincerely. "I'd appreciate it if you do catch them."
He threw a glance at Bones. "Watch out for this one," he said. "He's devious."
"Thanks mate," he said as he left the room, heading out to the front desk so he could reclaim his wand and then go home to his son. Thank fuck that was over.
