Susan managed a chuckle at the mention of beauty sleep. "Don't worry, Cass. A day or two without it won't harm your precious looks."
When he mentioned Lettie, she was about to aske 'Lettie who' when she realised he was talking about Scarlett Capper. She swore softly under her breath. "She seems to be the type to be pissed off at her toothbrush if it scratches her gums."
"I showed it to the elf. How was I to know the stupid thing wasn't going to tell her? Besides, she got her back up prickly the moment she saw me." Susan folded her arms defensively, and knew that Percy would blow this up out of all proportion.
At the question about Bletchley, she turned her head back to look at him. "We had very good cause to ask him questions. His alibi wasn't as solid as I had hoped, and I wanted to ask him a few more questions, just to be sure."
"Then that idiot Hunt provoked him and Bletchley stunned him. He's still here until Hunt comes in. He was supposed to go and get a medical check up. If there's any injuries, then Hunt will probably want to press charges. I'm going to make him drop it as he provoked Bletchley. Men are all idiots."
She scowled a little, the headache behind her eyes now getting worse. "So he's here at least until Hunt gets back, or mid afternoon, when he can't be kept any longer.
