Susan was pinching the bridge of her nose. If anything, Bletchley was being helpful, and not at all resisting any of the questions she put to him. His story about Paris and Capper had not wavered in the least, and he had answered all the questions.
In response to the question about his little altercation with Rosmerta, he had been surprised that everyone was making such a big deal out of it. They had been fighting over Liam, and the fact that Rosmerta had been keeping company with Vampires, who apparently wanted to meet with his son.
In all honesty, Susan could understand the reason why he wouldn't be happy with the woman. What sort of a fool entertained Vampires?
But she had realised the evidence for her case was rather circumstantial, and that if anything, Bletchley's only problem was he had a bit of an anger problem, and flew off the handle. He wouldn't be the sort to do such a messy murder.
But they still had to deal with his assault on Hunt. Hunt, who in his stupidity went to the shack and was now claiming injuries from the stunning. If he tried to press more charges against Bletchley, she would claim he provoked him. She hated all this paperwork.
She was only a few minutes away from telling Bletchley that she had all she needed to know, and that he could go back to his holding cell until Hunt actually showed up, when the door opened.
She saw Cass, and gave him a smile. "Has Hunt come back?" she asked, hopefully.
