She was glad when Millicent seemed to relax, smiling just a bit. Daphne certainly hadn't brought her out here to upset her.
"I've been fortunate not to have lost anyone close to me because of the war," she said slowly. Not that she really had very many people close to her. She preferred it that way, most of the time. "I can't imagine what it would be like to have to endure that, especially at such a young age."
