Liam was not taking the news about Rosmerta well at all. It was all he could do to prise the boy away from Millicent and take him upstairs to his own room.
He didn't want to leave Millicent and Ella, but then again, he didn't want to leave Daddy. Miles wasn't hanging around with the mudblood, and managed to convince Liam to come and lie down. He'd got him settled and then bloody Romilda showed up, making matters only worse. Liam interrogated her about why Rosie couldn't be a ghostie.
He thought he heard the door knock, and left the boy to his mother. He opened the door quickly, seeing two strangers standing there. "Yes," he replied curtly when she asked him who he was.
His hand was only inches from his wand when he saw the tall fellow giving him the strongarm tactics as he dared him to try to reach for his wand.
When she showed him her auror's papers and then asked if he could help in an investigation, he nodded, still wondering what they wanted to see him for. "Sure," he said as he reluctantly invited them in.
"Don't mind my son. He's a little upset about Rosmerta's death," he said as Liam started another round of wailing.
"So what d'you want to know?" he asked, not beating around the bush.
