She noticed Justin's precations with the spells and shot him a grateful look as she kept her focus on Liam. Ella was crying too, but more silently than Liam, just looking forward, at Liam, her hands fisting at Justin's robes as she clung to him.
'Are you and daddy going away too? Like Mertha and Romy?' she asked, frightened. The question itself seemed to make Liam cling even more tightly to her.
She so wished she could promise them differently, that she could say she'd always be around, but she knew better the risks she was in. The risks she'd taken when choosing Justin to be with only one of them.
She reached out, running her hand over Ella's curl. 'Everyone has to go to heaven sooner or later, but I have no plans on being made to go until I'm very, very old.' She kissed the top of Liam's head.
'I promise you both this - I'll do anything I can to not go anywhere, and if anyone tries to make me or either of you go anywhere I'll make it very, very difficult for them - and I'm very very stubborn and strong. It would be a very bad idea for anyone to try to be mean to either of us here.'
She only hoped that Miles wouldn't get himself killed in some stupid battle. She wasn't sure Liam would ever cope with that.
