"And it's still true," Terry admitted. "Though since Severus has been back teaching Potions, they've settled down a bit. Not much, but he's having a positive effect on most of the students in Slytherin."
The same couldn't be said for the other three houses, not yet anyway. Terry had handed out detention just yesterday to several Hufflepuffs for making completely uncalled for remarks about Severus. He didn't know who'd been more surprised, the students at receiving detention from Terry, or himself for actually handing out detentions in the first place.
He realized he'd gotten lost in thought, and replayed the last minute of conversation, stumbling as he realized what Ernie had asked him. "Yes!" he exclaimed, blushing at how eager he sounded. In a much more level tone he said, "I'd like that, very much."
He took a deep breath to stop his hands from shaking overly much and smiled brightly. "It sounds wonderful. I've never been to anything like that, and it's just exactly the sort of thing Ben would enjoy. Right up there with ice dragons." He laughed. "And it sounds as if Ian and Peter are just as easily entertained as I am, putting skills to work."
