Terry smiled slightly when Ernie kissed his hair, glad that the other man wasn't recoiling from physical touch. "Whatever you want," Terry said softly. "If you don't ever want to talk about, that's fine. But if you do, I'll be there for you."
The previews started then and Terry snuggled in closer throughout the movie, eating popcorn and kissing Ernie whenever he could. The movie made him a little teary-eyed, so when the lights came on, Terry busied himself with undoing all the charms on the seats, and blinking away the left-over tears.
"So am I," he said, hoping Ernie wouldn't notice the hoarseness to his voice, or the wetness in his eyes. "It was a good movie." And it had been, the unhappy ending non-withstanding. He took a deep breath as they filed out of the theater, their fingers tangling as they walked, to keep from being separated as much as wanting physical contact.
It was dark when they arrived outside, and the air had gotten colder. Terry shivered and pressed closer against Ernie, even as he cast a wandless warming charm over them both. It helped, but Terry didn't move away, enjoying being close to Ernie, even after all the cuddling during the movie. Maybe even enjoying it more because of it.
"So, what now?" he asked, reluctant to suggest heading home. He didn't want the date to end.
