Her heart was aching when she saw the sadness in his eyes, heard it in his voice, and she so much wanted to take the pain away. Only there was nothing to do, nothing she could do to change people's prejudice and stupidity. How could Colin turn his back on his brother? How could anyone turn such a sweet young man away for something he could not help?
Softly running her hand through his hair over and over she tried to comfort him, pulling him closer so that she could put her arms around him. It was odd, Sanguini and Jander had never mentioned being cold. Then again, they had both been vampires for so long. Perhaps it was something you got used to.
'Have you found someone who offers you food?' she asked softly, stroking him. 'Blood will keep you warmer,' she said softly. Perhaps Kevin would offer until he was tied over? Or she could ask Jander who offered him? But then again - it couldn't be healthy to have two vampires feeding off you regularly, even if it was consensual.
She wasn't sure what she could offer otherwise. A warm bath perhaps? Or some quilts in her bed. She'd even offer to hold him if needed, anything to help the poor boy.
