"And there wouldn't be a need for Vampire repelling wards if they weren't bloody dangerous!" he shouted, turning now and realising that no matter what he said, the woman just would not see sense.
He was so mad at her, he didn't realise that he'd walked into the pub itself instead of into the back room where the elf would have taken Liam. He was halfway out of the bar when he heard her threatening tone and she grabbed his arm. His instinctive reflexes kicked in, and he turned on her, his own arm grabbing hers tightly, not particularly caring or noticing where they were as he pulled her towards him
He looked down into her face menacingly. "You are ignorant to the dangers around you, Rosmerta. You keep doing this and you'll be dead, you stupid woman!" Miles could be dangerous when he wanted to be, and Merlin, vampires were one thing that he knew better than to mess with. Couldn't she see that? He'd take Liam, and if she wanted to see him, she could just come and visit under supervised conditions. At least then he could stop his son hanging around whatever undesirables she liked to entertain.
