RP: Thinking things through
Date: 28 January 2006
Characters: Megan Jones, mentions of Anthony Goldstein
Location: Phoenix Tears Clinic, Hogsmeade and Holyhead Mountain, Holyhead, Wales
Summary: Megan needs to think about weekend events
Once work was winding down, Megan told Anthony she was going to check on a patient and that she would meet him at home. She walked to the Apparition point showed her papers and then Apparated to her thinking spot.
She arrived in a warded spot on Holyhead Mountain. Her father warded it when she was younger and when it became obvious that she needed a spot that she could go to be on her on. She fell in love with it on a visit and it became her spot. Before she could Apparate her daddy fixed her a Portkey that she could use whenever she needed to.
She took a deep breath breathing in the salty air. Sitting down by the edge of the slope, she looked out over the Irish Sea. She needed to think about what happened this weekend and the only place she could do it was here.
Megan had been excited and happy when she came home from lingerie shopping. She had found several things that she thought Anthony would love and couldn't wait until his birthday and their trip. What she found when she arrived home was unsettling. He was visibly upset and when she asked what was wrong, she didn't expect his answer. He went on to explain that Romilda's ghost had helped him to think a few things through and then he held onto her tightly.
Her mind was reeling as she held him. At the time she couldn't even begin to think about how she felt, her first priority was Anthony and helping him through whatever it was he was going through. He was a bit better on Sunday but even though he was there physically it didn't feel like he was there with her. That had hurt because Sundays were their day to spend together.
Now that she had time to think about it, the only thing she could feel was confusion. The one thing that she kept playing over and over in her mind was his words. He didn't seem surprised about seeing his dead girlfriend's ghost. That was what she was having problems coming to terms with. She wondered how long he'd been talking to her and why he never told her.
She knew about his past and accepted that but she was having trouble accepting the ghost of his dead girlfriend. She wondered how he could truly move on, if he was still seeing her. If he didn't move on, how could they have a future? She had so many questions but no answers. She didn't think she would have any answers until she talked to Anthony. She just couldn't do that right now. His birthday was around the corner and she had to make that nice for him. So, she would push her own feelings away and concentrate on him. They could talk about everything else later and they would have to talk about it.
She sat a bit longer and tried not to think and get her emotions in check. Once she was certain they were, she stood and brushed the dirt off the back of her robes. She took one last look over the sea and Apparated back to Hogsmeade.
