"Sometimes I wonder if she practices them in front of a mirror, to make sure that they're perfect even down to the disapproving facial expressions," he said. "I have no intention of disregarding her instructions. I have too much of a healthy fear of her for that."
Terry nodded, glad for that bit of information. "That will be fine," he said. "Thank you." He sat back as Severus explained about a different potion, and bit his lip. "If things don't improve by the time I have my next check up with Poppy, I might take you up on that offer. I appreciate it."
Terry knew that no many people would ever see Severus this relaxed, and was glad to see that Severus felt comfortable enough with him. "Has Stephen spoken to you about his warding ideas?" he asked, instead of responding to Severus' comment about Stephen. "I've been doing research, and while there's not a lot of literature on the subject, I think between the three of us we'll be able to figure something out."
Terry smiled shyly at Severus' offer. "Thank you," he said again. "I appreciate that as well, and might take you up on the offer sometime. And I'd never press for answers you don't want to give." He paused. "On an unrelated note, how is Faustus doing? Is eating the Great Hall getting any easier for him? Ben and I will be there for breakfast and dinner from now on, for a few more friendly faces."
