"I know, I...I got lost for a bit I guess," he said as he followed Severus to his private office. "Stephen shook the sense back into me though, and reminded me that I have to do what's best for Ben. And what's best for him is a healthy father." He smiled slightly. "And I'd like to avoid any more of Poppy's scoldings, if at all possible."
He took the flask, fingers brushing Severus' lightly. "Will I be able to wake up? If I set a Charm that lets me know if Ben needs me, will I be able to respond? I don't want to take anything that will leave him vulnerable. If he has a nightmare or is sick, I need to be able to be with him." That was his biggest fear with a potion, that it would keep him from being able to get to Ben if his son needed him. After all, when he'd collapsed yesterday, he hadn't even heard a knock at the door and there had been no potions involved with that.
Severus' voice was serious, and Terry knew that the man knew what he was talking about. "I just forgot for awhile that I don't have to do everything myself, that there are people I can talk to. I won't make that mistake again. Stephen will kick my ass if I do."
