"One can hope," Severus said dryly. He knew his students were a bit shell-shocked by the change in teacher. Most had turned up to their first class of the year without preparing at all and had received a very nasty shock. There had been some marginal improvement since but only very marginal.
He listened Terry's explanation as to why he was there and gave an exasperated sigh. He was tempted to make a comment about idiots who chose insomnia over common sense but his promise of confidence to Harry stopped that. He also knew such a comment would be a touch hypocritical given the number of nights he spent roaming the corridors of the school but that, at least, had never stopped him before.
"There are a couple of options," he said calmly. "What is the underlying cause of your insomnia? And has Poppy prescribed any other potions for you? That will tell me which is the best choice."
