Rosmerta smiled. It was odd, but even though she hardly knew him, she felt she could trust him. Her was such a warm and caring person, and in times like these such good people were hard to find.
When he showed an interest in Liam she lit up. 'Oh he's a wonderful boy,' she said. 'His mother came here when he was only a baby. He took his first step in the pub, said his first words in the backrooms.' She smiled. 'He's clever and smart and very brave though terribly stubborn and can be quite upset when he doesn't get his way,' she said with affection. 'But I shouldn't blabber on about Liam, I must be boring you to tears,' she laughed. 'If you really are interested, I'm sure he'd love to meet you sometime, though.'
When he spoke of the long time he'd been away from his friend, she stroked his cheek, compassionate to the regret she saw in his features. 'I guess time is relative when you live as long as you do,' she said with a small smile. 'And Sanguini is his own too. It took twenty years between visits last Sanguini went away. I do hope he won't keep me waiting that long this time,' she said with a twinkle in her eye. 'I'll be an old woman before he comes back if he does that,' she said with a smirk.
'But perhaps I have someone to keep me company instead?' she asked, giving him a coy and flirtatious look.
