Rodolphus chuckled. "I am sure my godson and nephew would be most displeased if I were to use their christenings. No, I need a more neutral gathering and one liable to draw more of the Muggleborn."
He nodded thoughtfully. "Yes, by all means, ask Narcissa. I am sure there must be something that I can use. Thank you."
Rodolphus could feel the alcohol combining with the number of hours he'd been awake and he was relieved when Lucius made to leave. He kept it well hidden, not prepared to reveal his weariness even to a friend.
He rose and walked Lucius to the door of his study. "Thank you and I will certainly call on you should I need you."
He waited until Lucius had left then closed the door of the study. He cast the usual wards he placed when he was not in the room then apparated straight to his bedroom.
