Theo had barely entered the room when he was suddenly confronted with Lisa's severed head. Shock, disgust and nausea all washed over him and for a moment he actually thought he might throw up.
He turned in disgust, taking several deep breaths to calm his stomach, wishing he hadn't manage to eat earlier. Once gathered, he nodded, though he did not look back at the head.
'You never did mention a price,' he said instead, his eyes fixed at Jander to avoid the gruesome sight. For a moment he wondered if he shouldn't feel more pleased, yet all he felt was empty. Knowing she was dead didn't help the pain at all. Not that he regretted the move, he was glad she was dead, but he had expected it to help more.
