Cass sniggered, burying his head against Percy's neck and kissing it. 'You were the one who said no to anything else,' he pointed out. 'But then again, seeing how addictive I find you to be it probably would have headed here sooner or later anyway. Most likely a bit later.' He smirked, his fingers playing with the edge of Percy's robes.
'I am,' he then said. 'What do you think I do when you work all day? Cook?' he teased. 'And it does help, actually it helps that I'm reminded of you by him too,' he said with a smirk. 'I already like you, it makes it easier to like him too.' Especially since he didn't remind him of Marietta in the slightest. He could easily ignore the fact that he was her son, the boy talked more of his Nana than his mother anyway.
He also talked a lot of Percy, asking about Percy, and the term Percy said was one he heard so many times a day it was becoming amusing.
'Do you really think he's better off here with me, restless me no less, than in school?' Cass asked. 'Safer, sure, but better?' He did want the boy safe though, and the thought of what had happened to his mother did play a role in why he hadn't insisted on Aiden starting school the day after he arrived.
'Maybe I could swing by the school on the broom a couple of times a day, just to keep an eye out,' he said. 'Even if I start working and training, it's not like I'll be on a schedule.' There was one more sort of training he wanted to bring up, but the moment Percy suggested upstairs, all such thoughts went right out his mind.
'Now see that is an excellent suggestion,' he said with a wide grin, already off the sofa before he'd finished the sentence, his hand reaching out for Percy's.
