Drawing a breath of relief, Cass smiled at Percy, utterly grateful that he was there. 'I'm sure I couldn't do this without you,' he said feeling terrified, confused and grateful all at the same time. He turned his hand, entwining his fingers with Percy's.
He then frowned, shaking his head. 'I did ask her if she was in any way involved with them, though,' he said tiredly. 'She said she wasn't, but that she agreed with their views. I couldn't tell her that Aiden is a half blood after that, having her send him off to complete strangers because he's in her way is bad enough, who knows what she'd do or say to him if she found that out?'
