At first when they've received their invitations to the funeral, Cass had almost suggested that they didn't go. His head was still spinning from everything that was going on and just knowing he was a father was reason enough for him to want to hide at home.
Preferably in bed with Percy.
Still, when it came down to it, he didn't suggest that they'd stay home, and they both ended up going.
It was definitely different, to arrive at a social gathering like this with Percy. Officially being out. Some looked and whispered, some just didn't care. His so called family turned away in disgust (if it meant that he wouldn't have to talk to them he was quite grateful for that). Nott seemed not to know they were there, but then the look of indifference on the man was almost complete. Cass couldn't help but to wonder if he'd cared at all for his wife when she was alive.
He'd stayed close to Percy for the most part, but as he saw Harry standing without company for a moment, he decided that this was as good a time as any to talk to him. And seeing how well Harry and Percy got along it was always best to talk to him while on your own. Leaving Percy for a moment he headed over, smiling as he walked up to Harry.
'Just the man I need to talk to,' he said with a smile. 'How are you?'
