Even the thought of Lestrange made him visibly shudder and he closed his eyes for a moment before looking up. 'You're assuming I'll be able to get the records in the first place,' he said with a sigh. 'We don't know that I will.'
He took a deep breath. 'Look, if I get at those records, and if I find any child, I'll agree that it would be wise to see if they're well taken care of, talk to the mother. But if there is a child out there with a man who calls himself his or her father, I won't just mess up that life. What right would I have to do that?'
'Not that it matters, I'm sure there is nothing. Two women can't be so stupid as to not tell me such a thing.'
