It was clear that her emotions were upsetting him and she struggled to keep them more under control than she was. When he called her mummy again she felt another wave of emotion wash over her though. "No," she said softly. "No, it's alright Mon Chou. You should talk to him, I'm sure he appriceate's it. You see, I can't crawl up next to him like that and make sure he's comfortable because of the babies. I'll leave that task to you, okay?" she asked, trying to affirm him. Normally, she'd have worried that something would happen if Marlowe were disturbing the bed, but the boy deserved to be near Monty and he wasn't likely to wake anyway. Besides, Marlowe was the most careful child she knew.
