Verity nodded. "I know Theo. Don't worry about me. Believe it or not, I am capable of taking care of myself when I need to," she teased. She didn't ask further questions about the situation, not even wanting more information. Her father ad always taught her that too much information made her a target. She didn't have a thirst for it the way Theo did. She needed to know enough to know what was happening, but no more than that.
She listened to his rationale about the other children and what it would be like for Marlowe if he didn't make those connections early on like they had. She knew he had a point, but they had never had a school to bond at before Hogwarts. They had always done play dates and social gatherings. With the war, of course, those things just didn't happen as often.
"Hogsmeade isn't safe," she pointed out.
"How long have you had an eye on her? She does something with the black market, she could have hired someone," she pointed out, dismissing Roger if he knew where the man was.
