Verity noticed that the lines weren't helping him feel secure and assumed he connected them only with her own weakness. She slowed the motion until they were sitting hand in hand instead.
She nodded, calmly, listening carefully to what was said and what wasn't said. He told her not to worry and with the small information she was given she was able to do that. Instead her mind worked practically- she knew she was being given what she needed to know and the rest would be up to her. If things went badly, she would have to have a plan. Of course, she didn't want to be in this position at all, but she would need to know how to move Marlowe and Montague- she hoped she'd be capable of it with her pregnancy. "How soon?" she asked, referring to what could possibly happen.
"Thank you," she told him with a nod. "You know if you need help... I haven't been very composed lately, but, I'm feeling better."
The matter of schooling for Marlowe made her frown. She ensured he was always taking lessons and staying on top of his learning- Marlowe loved to learn- but she didn't know if she was ready to let him go from her- not with the way things had been going lately.
