Rodolphus reached out and took the vial containing the memory with a shaking hand. Almost as soon as he had the vial in his hand, a house elf appeared with his pensieve and another with a wooden pedestal. The pensieve and pedestal were set beside his chair so that would hardly have to move to view the memory.
He removed the lid from the vial and emptied the memory into the pensieve. He set the vial aside then shifted forward in order to view it. He was forced to pause before he did that as the nausea rose again at his movement and sweat broke out on his brow. He firmly reminded himself that firstly there was nothing in his stomach to throw up and secondly that this would be worth the utter discomfort in the long run. Once his stomach had settled a little, he completed the move he'd been making and viewed the memory.
He pulled himself out of the memory and leaned back in his seat, trying to gain some control over the nausea and dizziness his exit had caused. When he'd managed that, he looked over at Theodore and raised an eyebrow.
"Draco wishes to become Minister, does he?" he said with cold thoughtfulness. "And Severus stands at his side, no doubt believing he can protect my nephew. Interesting." That at least was no lie and had Draco's loyalties lain in the right place, it would have been useful as well. But no matter, he needed to concentrate on what was now, not what might have been. "Yes, this will indeed draw my nephew out into the open. He will be a tempting target though the timing..."
He tapped his fingers against the arm of the chair, pretending to ignore the way they were trembling. "The timing may be troublesome. Has Draco made any public move yet?"
