"I've been doing well, thanks. You?" he asked, watching as Bane came over and sniffed at Harry, her tail wagging after a moment. "Hope you don't mind dogs. Bane is mostly harmless. She won't hurt you."
Bane was protective of Lee, of course, and had an uncanny sense of when things went wrong. But she was also very obedient.
They settled down in the small living room--Lee doesn't need much space to live. His lips curled up into a broad smile. "Really," he drawled contemplatively. He always did love a new story.
