He was starting to wonder how many times he was going to roll his eyes at Percy tonight. Why was it so hard to understand that he every now and then wanted to give him things? 'My being here is entirely selfish,' he said instead. 'Being with you makes me happy, but if you think it's spoiling you, I'm happy to indulge in spoiling you even more.'
He smirked, shaking his head as he saw Percy's reaction. 'Percy,' he said softly, taking Percy's head and turning it to look at him. 'I bought them for you because I thought you'd like them, obviously I was right which make them worth every galleon paid for them.' He stroked his cheek. 'I know I don't have to, and that you're not with me for money I certainly don't have, and that you don't care about gifts, but I wanted to give you something you'd enjoy, something utterly you.' He kissed him softly, taking his time before pulling back.
'If that is not enough, I like the thought that you'll think of me when you're writing with this,' he added a bit smugly.
'As for the money spent you don't need to worry overly much, it's not like I have money like this to spend on a daily basis any more.'
