Neville pondered for a moment, wondering what to tell Alice about her madness and wondered if she even felt the effects of it herself, or if it was just something he could see. "It's nothing life-threatening Alice. We're just trying to make sure that you're safe and getting well."
Alice seemed to be placated though by the picture, stroking it lightly with her finger, barely just brushing the surface of the animated photo. "There's a chance... sometime in the future. But for now, you can see him all you want. That picture is for you." Neville smiled gently and heard the question she muttered that he was expecting for some time.
Luckily, when he had seen his Great Uncle Algie again, he also had a ring with the Longbottom family crest embedded into it. So Neville felt safe to tell Alice a very real truth, if a bit watered down. "I'm a member of the family, my last name is Longbottom. See..." He held out his left hand and showed his wedding ring for Alice to see. "Augusta gave me that photo." Which was also very true. He was beginning to breathe easier, watching his mother with the photo.
