She snickered slightly at the joke...it was a bad joke, but it was somewhat funny in an ironic and spiteful kind of way. She nodded when he said he was getting there, giving him a small half-smile as his face grew more serious. She knew where he was at. She'd been there. Not as painfully, for sure, but she definitely know how hard things must be for him at the moment.
"I've been well. Busy at the shop. Haven't really had much time for any sort of life." She gave him a dejected look. "Pathetic, isn't it? Perfecting the taste of a sweet interferes with me having a social life."
