Verity didn't feel overly socail to be perfectly honest. She wasn't in the mood to put on any more of a show than she had to and there weren't many people she saw that she wanted to talk to. Avoid the Weasleys. Avoid Adrian, maybe Draco- She saw her godfather but when he glanced at her he was clearly annoyed and she didn't feel like grovelling.
Her feet were starting to bother her and her back as well, though she'd be damned if she was going to put her hand on her back for support. She was in search of a chair when another body collided with hers, probably not as hard as it seemed, but it sent her off balance rather quickly. She just managed to get her balance.
Looking up she was surprised to see Stephen and he seemed equally surprised to see her. She smiled. "I think, in this case, I will take that as a compliment," she responded. It was nice not to be seen when you felt like a whale.
"If I hadn't been pregnant you would have meant to?" she asked, a note of teasing in her voice. She didn't know why she felt so much lighter here in his presence than she had in days but the slight releif was certainly welcome.
"No harm done, Stephen," she excused with a smile.
