Pansy tilted her head to look at him curiously. 'Really? I don't get that at all from him,' she said mildly. She looked at Cass with amusement. 'Might I respectfully point out, however, that many people who do not know Percy well don't necessarily respect him?' She grinned. 'Come on, Cass, you remember the names we used to call him when we were in school and he was Head Boy. There are those who still think that way, you know,' she added gently. 'Those of us who have gotten to know him don't think that, of course,' she hastened to add.
She laughed. 'Oh, Cass, you know I adore Percy, but he does make it difficult!' she teased.
'Oh, she has to worry about that. She's married to him!' Pansy said dismissively.
Then she looked up, already dismissing Antonin's wife from her mind. 'She who?' she asked. 'I'm ignoring someone?' He must be talking about that Susan person, she decided, but she could hardly explain that she was feeling that that Susan creature had wormed her way into the best friend slot over herself, could she?
'Oh, fine!' Pansy laughed, rolling her eyes. 'I'll owl John and ask him to stop by,' she told him. 'But you have to tell him you asked me to!' she insisted. 'He can be very gruff,' she added. 'He's good, but he expects you to do things his way....' She shook her head. That part still stymied her.
She turned to look at him, astonished. 'What do you mean, not Emilia? How can your mother be a Muggle?' She frowned. 'I think you better start over. I think I missed something!' she told him.
Pansy tilted her head. 'Dammit, no one wants to run an Inn!' she complained. Then she laughed. 'So tell me what offer you've taken? Who beat me to you?'
She made a face. 'Susan is....Susan!' she complained. 'Where did she come from, anyway?' she added. 'Just one day, you were all ga-ga over her....' she muttered.
