Nodding as he watched his godfather, Theo sat back, still worried, but reminded by Rodolphus own words that this was not a social call, and that he had to thread carefully, no matter what Rodolphus condition was.
Or seemed to be, he thought as he saw the light tremble, just a bit too perfectly placed, though he brushed away that thought for now as he focused on his task (and felt a bit guilty over doubting such a thing).
'Yes,' he said taking his own sip, sighing as he leaned back in the chair. 'I'm sure that you are aware of the party he threw this weekend,' he said, swirling the glass. 'And that he paraded around said party with Severus openly by his side?' Theo made a slight face, as if he wanted to but thought better of it.
'The purpose of the party was testing the water,' he then said. 'For making Severus the headmaster of the school as Minerva doesn't seem to be returning.' He smiled. 'Of course he wants my vote, seeing how I'm on the board of governors,' he said.
He paused watching Rodolphus' reaction to the news, waiting until he thought about it before adding: 'It could be just the thing to bring Severus out into the open.' He smiled, then shrugged as he lifted his glass to his lips, pausing before the sip. 'Just a thought.'
