Draco sat through funeral, listening to Neville's words. He could hear the note of pride in Neville's voice, but there was also a sense of loss. Worse, of never having had the love of a father.
He'd never had a chance to mourn his father, not like this. Oh, they had the perfect funeral as grandious as anything else the Malfoy did, but He doubted many peoplecared about the death of Lucius Malfoy. Sure they were all there, saying the right things, making the right gestures, still, no one cared about his death, not the way people cared for Frank Longbottom, and yet, Longbottom had never been a real father, not like Lucius had been. All in all, Draco considered himself to be the lucky one.
