After speaking with Percy, Pansy saw an opening that she could use to give her condolences to Neville Longbottom. Ginny Weasley was standing with him. The girl had barely been away from his side the whole time she'd been there, in fact. Holding Ella's hand on one side and Polly on the other, Pansy approached the two.
Polly was squirming and reaching for Ella and trying her best to get to the floor while Pansy was making her way to Neville and Ginny. 'You're still too little, sweetie,' Pansy told her. 'Too many big people to step on you. I'll let you down later,' she promised. Polly whined.
'Neville. Ginny,' she greeted with a slight nod. 'I'm so sorry for your loss,' she said quietly. 'What you said was very nice,' she added to Neville.
Polly looked at the two strangers in confusion a moment. Pansy assumed she might have thought Ginny might have been Morag given their hair was a similar colour. But Polly had been thinking something else.
'Hawwweeee...?' she queried in a soft voice.
Pansy came very close to exclaiming something quite inappropriate for polite company, knowing if Harry found out, he'd blame her for coming in the first place. Turning to Polly, she said, 'We'll go home soon, sweetie.' Maybe they'd think that was what her daughter was saying.
Turning back to Neville, she offered, 'Anyway, I am sorry....'
