They'd returned from Istanbul a week and a half ago, but since then Theo had been so swamped in papers, letters, orders and deeds that he had not been able to socialise or to call on Draco before the party as he would have wished.
He'd been more than pleased to see the invitation, relieved even, that Draco was well and confident enough to open up the manor to guests. He did hope though, that he wasn't taking too big chances, and intended to use tonight to try and find out why the manor had been locked down, and if it was something he should be worried about.
Arriving on time, Theo let Padma take Nathaniel and mingle around, while he himself mingled in his direction, as always listening to conversations as he walked by. It was utterly surprising that people still thought they could talk at these things without putting up privacy spells. Not that he minded not at all. In fact, he was rather pleased when people didn't. It left him with more information to gather.
