"Please, don't. I really don't want to know until it's sealed," Percy said. "It's not that I don't care, but it's best this way. Whatever needs to be said, you say it to McLaggen."
Percy laughed. "Well, it's something that won't make you do anything illegal, because it would be very awkward if the Department had to investigate my boyfriend." The laughter died with his last word. "Boyfriend... that sounds so very strange. I guess I shall have to get used to it."
He carded Cass' hair and pressed their foreheads together. "I know it's hard, Cass, but it's the only way. I wish there was something else; I've been thinking about the possibilities, and I can't find anything else. You'll enjoy working for Morag. She's a good woman, a little crazy at times, but good." He looked up and smiled. "Write it whenever you're ready, Cass. I'm not making this into an order, but when you're ready, you send it in, and then we got home. There's no reason for you to stay here when there is nothing they can do." He thought for a moment. "Morag said she had a healer... maybe I can ask her and he can come to the house to check up on you."
