'I did, or I hope I did. I told him everything he asked about,' he said. 'Susan will let him into my flat to get the copies of what I handed over to Rodolphus,' he said, though he couldn't quite look Percy in the eye when he said it. He was utterly ashamed of having gone as far as he had, and there was nothing really that could change it, though feeling Percy lips against his went a long way.
'I take it that means she's come up with something that has your stamp of approval?' he asked, smirking, because Percy knew him better than anyone. If he approved it was most likely something he could like doing, even if he had no hope of enjoying any job the way he did being an Auror.
Which was why it wasn't easy to hear of his resignation. Knowing it was going to happen wasn't quite the same as doing it after all. Still he nodded and Percy's last words made it all the easier to handle. Smiling he leaned in, brushing against Percy's lips. 'I'll write it as soon as you want me to,' he said. 'I want to go home too, I've missed you.'
