Summary: Harry comes to visit Cass
Cass was feeling remarkably much better when he woke up this morning. Not so much because his body was healing any faster (the Healers rather thought it healed remarkably slowly) but because the pain in his chest had lessened with everything that had happened.
Having Percy back in his life really did make all the difference. He knew there would still be difficulties, that there would be consequences - serious such - to his actions and choices. He'd lose his job, not just any job, but one he loved. He had lost his mother, he was certain she was dead by now, and even if she by some miracle wasn't dead yet, she most likely would be soon. That loss weighed heavy on him, as did the guilt that he couldn't shake. But having Percy back made it easier, less heavy, as if he was carrying part of the burden.
He was still very much thinking of Percy and their conversation when he heard the door opening, so maybe it wasn't so strange that he half expected Percy. It was however possibly not so nice when his first reaction on seeing harry was: 'Oh, it's you.'
Flinching at how it sounded, he shook his head and smile. 'Sorry, I didn't mean that as it sounded, I was just waiting for someone else. You know how I am, I never was very patient,' he said with a smirk.
'Come on in, I'd sit up, but it hurts like hell so if you want me to see you I'd recommend the bedside for seating. How are you?'
